The December 2026 presidential election is more than a contest for political office. It presents Gambians with a critical choice about the future direction of our nation. Nearly a decade after Gambians courageously voted for democratic change, the promise of that historic moment remains unfulfilled. The current administration has failed to demonstrate the political will and leadership necessary to deliver the meaningful democratic, institutional, and national transformation that Gambians were promised. Therefore, the 2026 election represents an opportunity for the Gambian people to renew their demand- in an alternative, but serious political party- for genuine democratic change, accountable leadership, and a government committed to serving the interests of all Gambians. The GFA believes that our country can rise again. With competent leadership, integrity, and a clear plan, we can restore confidence in government, revive our economy, strengthen our institutions, and create opportunities for every citizen to prosper. This manifesto sets out our vision for a self-reliant, productive, and just Gambia, built on four national pillars or priorities: food security, economic transformation, development of human capital, and system Transformation. Together, we can complete the democratic transition, restore hope, and build a nation where every Gambian can succeed. The time for real leadership is now. The future of The Gambia will be shaped by the choices we make in 2026.
