Gambians today yearn for change; they aspire to a better life in improved living conditions. And what more inalienable rights and legitimate aspirations can there be?

Sadly, there is one missing critical item in the equation needing to be solved in order to bring about the desired transformation and progress; it is called Leadership, a sincere, competent and responsible leadership driven by passion, and guided by vision, i.e. that capacity to anticipate the future and to conceive ideas for directing the energies and the march of our people towards the goal of sustainable short, medium and long term development and progress. If today, the absence of clear direction appears to condemn our ship of state to flip-flop about unsteadily on the rough seas, if hope for meaningful change continues to elude us, as doubt and disenchantment replace the initial euphoria in our hearts- created by the change in 2016, it is precisely because our situation suffers from deficiency of leadership. It does not have to be like this; we the people of the Gambia have it within us to change this.

A GFA Government shall:

• Operate a Responsible/agile leadership team, clean and efficient administration that will improve the economy to boost production and create Employment and wealth.

• Institutionalise sound political as well as economic governance processes and practices; the other side of the coin will be a relentless war on corruption and all other forms of official malpractices as well as a realistic plan to alleviate poverty and deprivation.
